HP Holiday Joyride in DC

The holiday season is upon us which means there’s lots of fun and festive things going on in and around your city. One of those was the HP Holiday Joyride– which combines new technology with holiday cheer. Starting off in Palo Alto, California the HP Caravan ended its journey in Washington DC this past weekend. Anchored by a flatbed truck featuring enormous rolls of wrapping paper, the HP Joy Caravan has stopped in seven cities across America to unveil festive holiday workshops just in time for the holidays. Between the different cities, over 120,000 people stopped by to test the latest HP products, enter giveaways and take pictures with Santa.

I stopped by the event early Sunday and was impressed with what I saw (the snow definitely added to the holiday cheer). Set up in Georgetown, shoppers could step into the HP Caravan to warm up and see all the cool things HP has to offer. I was told that all of the tablets, laptops and accessories on display were holiday themed- and set at price points good for any gift giving scenario.

What I liked (not counting the cookies) was the ability to test out HP products and chat with others about what they like. There was also plenty of HP employees ready to answer your questions. You can view everything that was on display here.

One product that caught my eye was the HP Split x2. It is described as being the perfect tool for productivity and portability because the tablet easily converts into a notebook. It’s also a really good size for working at home, at your desk, on a plane or playing Candy Crush in your spare time. HP has done a lot in recent years to help people, especially government employees, work anywhere and at anytime. Seeing everything in the caravan definitely proves that.

Visiting the HP Holiday Joyride was a really nice way to spend my weekend and I hope some of you had the opportunity to stop by in DC and across the country. It was a bit of holiday cheer, cool products, and holiday cookies- what’s not to like?
