When it comes to cybersecurity, it’s no secret that there’s a ton of emphasis on keeping government safe from outside entities like malware attacks and ransomware. In fact, there’s so much focus on external cyberthreats that sometimes we forget that even the most vicious attacks can come from inside an organization as well.
Think about it. Have you ever clicked on a sketchy email? Or left your computer open on your desk? Hackers aren’t always hooded figures hiding in the shadows. Sometimes they’re just employees who make a mistake. If you answered yes to either of these questions, the insider threat could be you.
That’s why, in honor of Cybersecurity Month, we put together this interactive quiz, “Are You a Cybersecurity Threat to Your Agency?,” to help you find out what your insider threat level is. Are you red, yellow or green? When you’re done taking the quiz, send it to a colleague (maybe one you’re suspicious of!) so they can find out what their threat level is, too.
