Exploring the Future of Geospatial Development

Esri’s Federal GIS Conference in Washington, D.C., a two-day event focused on how federal government employees can use GIS technology to achieve mission goals, is just weeks away. The two-day conference is an opportunity to network with more than 4,000 GIS professionals, choose between 100+ workshops and sessions, and most importantly, hear first hand how government organizations can use GIS technology to generate inventive and successful solutions for perplexing problems.

But while the Conference ends on February 14th, the learning opportunities for geospatial developers continue with the Esri DevSummit DC on Friday, February 15th, also at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

For developers interested in in-depth training for building next-generation applications, this is the event for you.

The day-long event will bring together more than 600 developers in a setting where you’ll get comprehensive training to help you build next-generation apps with advanced mapping and analysis tools from Esri. You’ll learn and develop geodev skills that will help you gain a competitive edge in your career with the power of the ArcGIS platform in your arsenal.

At the event, you’ll be able to attend a full day of workshops on Python, JavaScript, .NET, OS X, plus native apps for iOS and Android, as well as be inspired by the work of top local geospatial developers, and hear from leading Esri developers about what’s next.

There will be plenty of networking opportunities, too – you’ll be able to exchange GitHub handles and collaborate with fellow GeoDevs from DC and across the eastern seaboard.
Most intriguingly, for those looking to gain an edge in their GIS development skills, by attending you’ll be able to dive into Esri’s newest developer tools before anyone else, tools like Next generation of ArcGIS Runtime; AppStudio for ArcGIS; new developments for vector tile basemaps; web AppBuilder for ArcGIS; and the first release of ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET.

Registration includes all schedule workshops, beverage breaks, lunch, and the Meet the Presenters Social. You can register for the Esri Federal GIS Conference at the same time, which takes place Monday and Tuesday before. Both events are complimentary for government employees so sign up today!
