Learning Goal:
The goal of this learning and development topic will be to equip operations specialists to deploy and/or advocate for various operations improvement techniques on a corridor basis.
Learning Objectives:
After the Corridor Management Approach to Operations Training, participants will be able to:
- Explain the overarching concept of Corridor Management.
- Define Active Transportation and Demand Management (ATDM) and Integrated Corridor Management (ICM).
- Describe the differences between ATDM and ICM, and how they relate to each other.
- Identify the characteristics of corridors that could benefit from these techniques.
- Evaluate the candidacy of a scenario for either ATDM or ICM.
- Describe the steps for implementing ATDM and ICM.
- Describe the role of a Division Specialist in planning and implementing ATDM or ICM.
- Describe what resources are available for further assistance and information on corridor management
