I work for the government because:
I believe in the power of our democracy to protect the environment and engage the American public in the natural world. Working in government provides immediate access to enhance services for citizens and influence processes and policies to better benefit wildlife, habitat, and people.

I also grew up in the public sector as the son of a state forest ranger in West Virginia. From a young age, I was blessed with a lifestyle where I was immersed in nature with a public service role model in my father.
My favorite public servant is:
Madeleine Albright

Good to meet you and thanks for reaching out.

Though your email said "Hey Dave", I am going to guess you were reaching out to me. If not, let me know.
