The production of Julius Caesar at the New Theatre Sydney last night reminded me of the movie 300 retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae. Julius Caesar had sufficient gravitas for a Royal Shakespeare production. But Brutus and the conspirators spent much of the performance bare chested showing off their impressive abs.
