Microsoft recently announced that it had acquired popular enterprise social networking company Yammer, and that these assets would largely be integrated into Microsoft’s business software like Outlook, Office, and Sharepoint. How might this work within large enterprises like government agencies? Below is the official infographic showing how Yammer might work well in combination with Sharepoint.

While details have not been released about exactly how Microsoft will incorporate Yammer into its popular software platforms, with 80% of enterprises already using Sharepoint and about 85% using or experimenting with Yammer, the combination of these two sharing platforms is sure to be a powerful one.
