When the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (CA) introduced real-time bus information a few months ago, the agency also rolled out new signs to help riders access the info. In addition to listing the bus stop ID number and providing instructions for getting arrival predictions by phone (smart or otherwise) and text message, as blogdowntown observes, the signs also include a QR code for each stop. Scanning the two-dimensional code takes riders to an optimized web page with arrival predictions for the bus routes serving the stop. Here’s what the web page looks like.
