The TransLink (QLD) go card went multi-platinum last week, celebrating two million cards issued. “There has been significant investment across the go card distribution network resulting in a 150% growth in the past 18 months,” said Annastacia Palaszczuk, transport and multicultural affairs minister for the Australian state of Queensland, in a statement. “The travel data provided by go card is helping us provide more frequent and reliable public transport, including the 150,000 weekly train seats and 50,000 additional weekly bus seats as a result of new timetabling this week.” The go card is good on bus, rail, and ferry services.
