The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (CA) invites developers to create a mobile application that enhances the VTA travel experience. “Whether they help you find the best donut shop in town or get you to the latest flash mob on time, these mobile apps are sure to be a big hit with our riders,” said chief external affairs officer Greta Helm in a statement. “We want to be the preferred travel option for Santa Clara County residents and the use of a public transit app gets VTA one step closer to that goal.” Submissions are due July 25, 2011. Two winning entries will receive an iPad or Android tablet.
