Air Force Mobile, CISPA Protests, and More

  • With a second attempt at procuring 2,725 iPads, the Air Force continues to move towards mobile and thin clients. More here.
  • Howard Shmidt said that industry would not be heavily burdened by a bill to phase in security standards for privately held critical infrastructure, and that the federal government will not financially support businesses under attach from foreign countries as cybersecurity is a business risk.   • The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Fight for the Future and other groups launched a week of protests against The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) over privacy concerns on Monday.
