My thoughts on leadership…
Being a leader is about instilling trust in all those individuals you contact daily. Leadership is not inherent in each of us. We must educate ourself to ensure we are able to adapt to each individual’s need regards of their status within an organization. Show respect to gain respect. Show compassion and gain an understanding of the individual. Pick up the phone rather than send an email or if distance allows speak face-to-face. Believe in those who support you, find out how others view you as a leader and ask what you can do to assist them meet or exceed their personal goals. One thing to remember it is not about us but about them.
