Recently I launched the Open RFP Network: OpenRFP.net.
My primary inspiration for this was the Peer to Patent portal. When I first read Beth’s white paper about the transformation of the patent application process I realized that ultimately this would be applied to all government processes.
Why keep slow, offline and expensive by a few, when you can have online, cheap and quick by many?
With my specialism as an entrepreneur being the very first spark of creativity, and how this mught be nurtured into a seed stage venture, I saw the perfect opportunity to define a stage prior to Peer to Patent. I.e. that is for businesses that have matured enough to have a patent ready to file, but prior to that is a stage that begins with only an idea bubbling around in your empty head.
