Announcing – GovLoop/CampusGov Scholarship Winner

When I first met Matt of CampusGov and we talked about the need for a public service scholarship, I had no idea it would work so great.

During the last few months, we’ve had a great run with hundreds of applicants, some really great essays, and hundreds of votes from the community .

We are excited to announce that Kyle Robisch is the winner. He’s had internships at EPA and DHS, worked with Partnership for Public Service, is a Truman finalist, and in Student Senate.

Today, GovLoop and CampusGov awarded the first scholarship through a newly created program designed to assist undergraduate and graduate students focused on a career in local, state and federal government. Over 300 candidates applied and Kyle Robisch was chosen to receive the scholarship

Kyle Robisch has demonstrated a substantial commitment to pubic service, serving as an intern for both the US Department of Homeland Security and the US Environmental Protection Agency. Kyle also helps connect students with federal jobs and internships though his job with the Partnership for Public Service. At the University of Florida, Kyle served as a Student Senator and founded an organization that donates excess campus food to local homeless shelters.

“I am honored to have been selected to win the CampusGov-GovLoop Scholarship. There were hundreds of qualified candidates and the scholarship process really affirmed my commitment to federal service and showed me that our country truly is in good hands”.

The CampusGov-GovLoop Scholarship Fund is designed to support students who are seeking undergraduate or graduate degrees and pursuing a career in the public sector.
