Here’s a special offer for NCDD members from Adriano Pianesi. I’m considering participating in this online course on the Art of Online Hosting myself! – Sandy
I would like to share with you our Webinar Facilitator Certification, “THE ART OF ONLINE HOSTING” online course.
If, like me, you are committed to maintaining high standards of excellence when it comes to engaging local or workplace communities in learning events and meetings, you are probably looking for ways to offer your people good options that deliver better performance at affordable prices. In other words: to deliver more with less.
You might have tried webinars or web conferencing before, only to find them overpromising, hyped, and plainly boring—with no meaningful interactivity; participants’ phone lines that remain muted; presenters rambling. It’s no wonder that people check email or otherwise multi-task during webinars. And it’s no wonder that webinars have gotten such a bad reputation and that they ultimately haven’t delivered the goods.
Well, there is another way. And I would like to show you how.
THE ART OF ONLINE HOSTING is an INTRODUCTORY online course for three Fridays beginning at the end of October 2012. The course is a condensed version of the course we have been giving in-house to six organizations in the DC area in the past months. Having started in March 2011, we have now 55 graduates from this course.
Past course attendees say. “The course is a great chance to be introduced to this new technology of communication in a friendly, controlled environment…”
People also appreciated our no-nonsense approach: “…we could ask plenty of questions…” “The job aids and the ‘How to’ materials of the class were great!”
The course takes place online on Oct. 27th, Nov. 3rd and Nov. 10th around lunch hour for 90 minutes (+30 minute one-on-one coaching) and covers the basics of:
- Technical skills to develop engaging online meetings for instruction/collaboration
- Meeting planning/instructional design for the online space
- Online hosting and engagement in the virtual training room
The price is $600, but we are pleased to extend an offer of $100 off the regular price to all NCDD practitioners that sign up by October 19th.
I look forward to hearing from you by October 19th to discuss what is possible in your world with an engaging, online space of collaboration.
