In recognition of National Purchasing Month, Deltek is shining a light on the importance of statewide term contracting. A term contact – also called an open-ended contract, blanket contract, requirements contract, or purchasing agreement – establishes a qualified supplier for certain goods and/or services over a specified period of time.
Last November, Deltek released a comprehensive report, “State Term Contacts and Cooperative Purchasing Vehicles,” that assessed the landscape and near-term prospects for IT-related procurements via state term contracting vehicles. The report includes an Excel-based data set with more than 5,000 IT-related line items from all 50 states as well as profiles on key state initiatives.
