As the conflict between Israel and Hamas keeps going, some new and not-so-new tactics are being used by each side – cell phone PsyOps (psychological operations).
From Ynet News:
The message read: “Rockets on all cities, shelters not protect, Qassam rocket, Hamas.” A source in Hamas military wing confirmed the new tactic, adding that Hamas wants to warn the Israeli public against a future escalation in Gaza.
From Wired Blog:
According to Ha’Aretz, “Palestinians reported that in some cases, the caller leaves a message on their voice mail warning that the IDF will bomb any house where weapons are rockets are found and the owners of the houses will be the ones to suffer the consequences.”
