It was great to see so many familiar faces during GovDelivery’s Minnesota user event on Wednesday, Jan. 26. The 66 clients in attendance at the Bloomington Holiday Inn not only heard about the latest and greatest product developments, but were treated to a presentation by Stearns County, Minnesota.
Officials from Stearns County, a client since 2001, shared how using GovDelivery has helped them improve customer service, become more efficient with communications, and save money. More than 9,000 people have signed up to receive messages about everything from property auctions, crime statistics, press releases, county board agendas, and more.
Stearns County presenters said secrets for success with GovDelivery over the past decade include keeping subscription items current, using descriptive email headers, keeping county employees aware of the benefits, and obtaining early support from management.
In addition, GovDelivery Senior Client Success Consultant Sara VonBargen gave a presentation on platform upgrades for 2011, including an advanced editing feature – which proved to be very popular with the participants. We enjoyed hearing positive comments from clients who joined us for the afternoon.
