Sixty-Six Energy Saving Technologies in One Building

South Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research is housed within a “carbon-zero” office building. The building is filled with passive and active energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies that power the building, control heat loss and manage the amount of sunlight that comes into the building, among other functions. The Institute’s building is perhaps South Korea’s best example of their plans to reduce their CO2 emissions from buildings.
