Speaking a Different Language.

How do you solve a problem like Belgium? Two countries living under one government – or more accurately 45 governments since the end of WWII – and no government for the past 451 days.

The June 2010 victory of the separatist party in Parliament could have set in motion an end to the country of Belgium. Perhaps that is the solution. A country so divided – speaking two different languages – the only viable outcome is to separate.

Is this the answer for the United States? Have we seen a country so divided that our government leaders are no longer able to govern? Are Democrats and Republicans speaking two different languages? Should we separate before we head into a 15 month government shutdown?
