Training Opportunity: Careers in Federal Budgeting

AABPA is pleased to announce that it is once again offering a specialized education program for summer interns interested in pursuing a career in budgeting. The program will provide a forum for interns to learn from specialists outside the offices in which they work, and from career counselors who can provide realistic appraisals of career prospects in budgeting and advice on how to get those jobs.

The series will provide:

* an overview of the federal budget process,
* a roundtable discussion with budget analysts from agency budget offices, Capitol Hill, CBO, GAO and OMB, and
* career development panels on writing KSAs, interviewing for federal positions, managing your career, and finding and making the most of mentors.

The program is free, and space is limited to the first 50 applicants.

Please forward this information to interns in your office and encourage them to register at www.AABPA.org
