Strengthening Security Protocols for Teleworking Employees
An InformationWeek Government Webcast

The US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) reports federal agencies are seeing strategic value from telework, including contributions to ensure continuity of operations, reduce management costs and improve the ability of the federal workforce to balance work and life commitments. “Overall, the use of telework is improving in the federal government. Telework can make employees more efficient, more accountable, and more resilient in emergency conditions, and this report shows signs that we are achieving those results,” said OPM Director Berry.

OPM’s 2012 Telework Report underscores the importance of strengthening security protocols for teleworking employees. Mitigating security issues is fundamental to effective telework.
