Signing in as the newest GovLoop staffer

Hi GovLoopers,

I wanted to take a second and introduce myself. I’m Emily and the newest staff member on the GovLoop team!

My primary role here will be producing the new daily DorobekINSIDER radio show.

The goal of the show is simple, help you do your job better and that’s where I need your help. Who do you want to hear from? What’s on your mind? What topics interest you?

You ask the questions, we’ll do our best to get you the answers. Send your ideas my way: [email protected]

The show kicks off this Monday, so make sure you tune in at noon to check it out! We’ve already got some great guests lined up for the first show with NASA’s Chief Information Officer Linda Cureton and Todd Harrison from the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments.

Just a little bit about me, I am from Dublin, Ohio. Dublin is home to the annual Memorial Golf tournament and Wendy’s. I graduated from American University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2009. For the past two year’s i’ve produced the afternoon drive program on Federal News Radio 1500 AM. I’ve also worked at Federal News Radio’s sister station WTOP.

I am excited to really sink my feet into the GovLoop world and I can’t wait to meet all of you!

Welcome Emily! I like the idea of a noon radio show, as long as I can access it. I’m always curious about what is happening on Capitol Hill, especially bills that may impact our pay and benefits. I’m also interested in what agencies are doing to respond to current events. For instance, what is FEMA doing to help those impacted by recent tornadoes? Keep it fresh and use every opportunity to showcase Federal employees making a difference.
