In the past four years, Federal employees have donated over 15 million pounds of food through the national Feds Feed Families campaign. This year, USDA is leading the campaign, which runs through August 31, 2013. I’m calling on all Feds, as well as state and local government employees to dig deep and start their own local campaign to feed those in need. It’s easy, just go to www.feedingamerica.org to locate your local food bank, put out boxes and posters, hold an engaging event, and feel the good.
