Army Directorate Asks Contractors for Third-Party ISR System Ideas

The U.S. Army’s intelligence and information warfare directorate is seeking information from potential vendors about third-party intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems.

An Oct. 1 request for information from the Army Contracting Command outlines the branch’s efforts to seek data on software-defined ISR technologies for the I2WD.

The Army wants to learn about potential ground moving target indicator radar, dismount moving target indicator radar, synthetic aperture radar, inverse synthetic aperture radar, electronic support measures, electronic attack and radio-frequency target location capabilities.

I2WD also wants new modes for mononstatic, bistatic and multi-static systems.
