Thank you for the opportunity to apply for a scholarship through the
CampusGov / GovLoop. I am currently the Assistant Chief of the

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Law Enforcement Division

and have been working for the department for over 21 years. I have

dedicated my life and profession to the protection, conservation and

management of the wildlife and fisheries resources and their supporting

ecosystems. In an effort continue to professionalize our organization

and the profession of wildlife and fisheries law enforcement; I have

returned to Louisiana State University to obtain a Masters Degree in

Public Administration. This masters program is a non-thesis program.

Being an avid hunter and fisher and father of a five year old boy brings

awesome opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and share priceless

experiences. A personal ambition of mine is to find opportunities to

get youth involved in hunting and fishing activities. Protection of our

natural resources are essential to the future and providing the best

leadership to help guide our enforcement program in the future is

critical to this effort.

With hardened economic times comes challenges both personally and

professionally, obtaining this scholarship would enable me to continue

my educational ventures, while providing extreme benefit to our agency

and the wildlife and fisheries law enforcement profession.

I respectfully request your consideration in the granting of the

CampusGov / GovLoop scholarship for the continuation of my graduate

school education. Thank you for your efforts, if I can ever be of

assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
