Help an agency out: spread the word that we want photos taken on Earth Day

Ok, here’s the deal.

We at EPA are running several social media engagement projects around Earth Day (April 22), and most are off to a good start.

But we’re doing one thing actually on Earth Day itself: trying to capture a moment in time. Specifically, we’re asking people to submit a photo they take on Earth Day to our Flickr group.

This is all part of our broader State of the Environment photo project, where people can shoot something about the environment and we feature many regularly on EPA’s website and in FB and Twitter.

But this project has an expiration date: we need photos taken all over the world on April 22.

With me so far? Good.

Here’s where you come in: you use social media, right? I mean, you’re here, reading this blog.

Would you please share our blog post about this effort with your networks?

Here’s the URL: http://blog.epa.gov/blog/2012/03/make-your-mark-for-earth-day . You can copy and paste it or just use the share buttons at the bottom left of the post.

Thanks!
