If you hadn’t already heard, INPUT’s State and Local Information Services team is in the process of expanding our social media footprint. One of the possible outlets is utilizing Facebook for business purposes. Yes, you heard right, Facebook AND business in the same sentence. Although it may come as a shock to some, Facebook is not just for keeping tabs on friends and playing online games. When developed and marketed correctly, the social networking site can be a highly effective business tool. Facebook is the second most visited site on the Internet, has more than 500 million active users worldwide (who spend an estimated 700 billion minutes per month on the site), and has more than 200 million active mobile users.
