ManTech gets into health IT with acquisition

ManTech International Corporation has acquired health systems integrator Evolvent Technologies. The move signals a push by ManTech to get into health IT as part of it’s contracting offering. Evolvent has experience working with federal health systems.

Evolvent provides services in clinical IT, clinical business intelligence, imaging cyber security, behavioral health, tele-health, software development, and systems integration. The acquisition will enable ManTech to deliver information technology solutions through Evolvent’s existing relationships with DoD Health organizations, the Veterans Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services. Evolvent will become part of ManTech’s Systems Engineering & Advanced Technology (SEAT) group.

ManTech will be adding to it’s overall systems integration portfolio with Evolvent. The company’s involvement with federal health systems will position ManTech competitively to capitalize on new and existing health and health IT efforts in both public and private sectors.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. “The people of Evolvent understand the health-care system from the patient-provider relationship through the integration of data and images and the management of records,” ManTech Chairman and CEO George J. Pedersen said in a statement.
