Outreach, Gumbo Style

A Highlight from the upcoming NAGC Communications School.

We’ve all been there, you have to respond to an angry citizen,
partner or elected official. Sometimes, you have to reach out to
constituents or elected officials that you know will not embrace your
message. Communications expert Joe Trahan suggests a special recipe of
ingredients that help cut through the junk to ensure your message is heard and
understood. Anyone who has ever attended one of Doc Joe Trahan’s sessions knows
he will engage the audience with his folksy style that imparts a keen
understanding of the craft of communications. Make sure you are there to catch
some beads of knowledge about “Outreach, Gumbo Style.”

Doc Trahan will give the midday keynote address on Thursday, April 18, at 12:30
a.m. at the 2013 NAGC Communications School, April 17-19, at the Pentagon City
Sheraton in Arlington, Va. Check out the rest of the agenda and register to
attend at www.nagconline.org.
