Town Turns to iPads in Cost-Cutting Move

The New York Times reports:

Cornelius, N.C., with a population of about 25,000, has stopped printing meeting agenda packages for town commissioners and has given them iPads instead.

This is one example of several in a trend toward governments (and companies) using iPads to cut costs and boost efficiency. Read an interview with Anthony Roberts, town manager of Cornelius, here.

Is anyone else’s organization turning to iPads and other new/mobile technologies?
