Typical Monday

It’s raining outside the window and we’re expecting snow, so I know winter is offically on the way. However, just because it’s dreary outside, doesn’t mean our prospects in Kansas City aren’t sunny.

It’s been a typical Monday around the office. This involves the excruciatingly long (but necessary) Monday morning staff meeting. Today we talked about media relations, collaboration with some of our strategic partners, preparation for our bi-monthly board meeting, and shared updates on upcoming projects. It seems like we’ve been getting more than the usual number of media inquiries lately. I suspect this means folks are hungry for good news, but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, the timing is off and we just don’t have/can’t share anything specific right now.

This afternoon, I’m working on coordinating some upcoming presentations to the business community, following up on information requests for some new prospects, and developing some new incentive tools for the Green Impact Zone – www.greenimpactzone.org. Tomorrow is somewhat open and hopefully I can stay on top of everything, but later this week it’s going to get crazy. I have a couple of business association luncheons, an open house for a previously announced expansion, several project follow-up meetings and conference calls, and two new project announcements on Friday. Glad that my pipeline is full, so can’t complain too much!
