Web 2.0 Presentation for Public Works and Government

Last week, I presented at the 2008 APWA Congress; the topic – virtual public works. My portion of the workshop focused on the use of Web 2.0 tools in the public works and government sectors. Representatives from TEEX and World2Worlds also participated. You can check out my presentation at this link. Those who would rather view the document in more of a book-like format can click here.

I also showed a video that was a tour of a few sites in Second Life, but I have not yet uploaded it to the Web, but will do so once I get some free time.

Pam – That’s an awesome presentation! I have created and delivered a very similar presentation for a few different groups. In fact, I am delivering it next week (virtually!) via Adobe Connect for a Certified Public Manager group in Texas.

My examples are mostly state and Federal….so yours presents a more local perspective…nice complementary content. You can learn more at my blog.

Andrew – Your presentation was awesome, and it is incredible how both of us ended up with a very similar approach even with me focusing on local gov and you on fed gov.
