Increasing Collaboration and Civic Engagement Through Open Data

GovLoop recently spoke with Barney Krucoff,  Geographic Information Office, State of Maryland how GIS is helping to improve citizen engagement at the State of Maryland.

“[Open data] definitely cuts down on interagency stovepipes that we have a central repository so our agencies knows where to go to find things, the public knows where to go to find things, it’s always a question of keeping that up to date making sure we have the relevant data,” said Krucoff.
