Looks like Vivek Kundra, former U.S. Federal CIO, just joined Salesforce as EVP for Emerging Markets (TechCrunch got the scoop)
Makes a lot of sense as Kundra was heavily focused on cloud initiatives in his 25 point plan and Salesforce is the largest cloud player and continues to invest in the public sector with recent hires like Matt Miszewski (former Wisconsin CIO, former general manager of Microsoft Worldwide egovernment). Will be interesting to watch
Since stepping down as federal CIO, Kundra has been teaching at Harvard Kennedy School.
