A Wish: Mobile Web and Android App for Regulations.gov

I like regulations.gov. I think it’s a great, easy to navigate website. It serves it’s purpose well: it lets citizens comment on proposed changes to federal regulations.

That being said, it leaves a lot to be desired for a mobile site. I get the desktop view on my smartphone.

Considering how much the mobile web is growing and will continue to grow this decade, it makes sense for regulations.gov to provide a mobile-friendly site. I know I’d use it on the subway to work, and I imagine others would too. That means regulations.gov would become more valuable because more people would use it.

So my wish, if the folks at regulations.gov see this, is to create a mobile-friendly website and an Android app. I want to be able to easily search, comment, and share those comments and proposed changes to federal regulations.
