Feeding Families one Fed at a Time

Our local food banks and those across the country continue to face severe shortages of non-perishable goods. To address this critical need the Office of Personnel Management is drawing upon the compassion and generous spirit of the Federal workforce to help our fellow citizens in need – think kids. School is out for summer and many children that count on eating one or two meals a day at school aren’t.

Although the 2011 Feds Feed Families initiative is off to a roaring start we are still far short of our goal – 2 million pounds of items like canned proteins, fruits and vegetables as well as diapers, soap, toothpaste and cleaning supplies. See: mostwantedlist.pdf
