- Maj. Gen. Suzanne Vautrinot, commander the 24th Air Force and Air Force’s Cyber Air Component to USCYBERCOM emphasized the importance of “full-spectrum” cybersecurity that prepares for offense, defense and exploitation. More here.
- The U.S. Cyber Emergency Response Team warned of social engineering attacks against utilities’ industrial control systems by hackers posing as Microsoft customer support. More here.
- HP Enterprise Services has won a $39.8 million contract to provide cybersecurity analytics to the Defense Information Systems Agency. More here.
- A federal judge in Iowa has contradicted the Supreme Court to allow covert GPS tracking without a warrant on a suspected drug trafficker. More here.
- The FBI seized a server running an anonymous remailing program called Mixmaster as part of an investigation into bomb threats but is unlikely to be able use it to find out who was behind the threatening emails. More here.
