Getting smart about data

We are always looking at new ways to work with the best talent in our local area and now we want to sound you out on research local students are carring out on open data.

At a time of severe resource and financial constraints, the joint MBA programme we have developed with Kent Business School enables access to some fresh thinking to help resolve real, significant issues within partner organisations. The students will also gain valuable experience of some of the difficulties and issues facing the public sector.

Working with local talent and…you!

10 projects will be developed with various Kent Connects Partners ranging from social return on investment, income generation to flexible working.

That’s why we are working with a student from Kent Business School who will be carrying out research on how councils can support entrepreneurs to develop smart phone apps using their open data.

They’re very interested to hear about your development of smart phone apps and your views about using open data provided by local public services across the county and how Open Kent can best support entrepreneurs. Please note your answers will be anonymised.

Just to let you know how your answers will be used. Following analysis of the survey, the student will carry out face to face or telephone interviews of entrepreneurs. This will then help the development of recommendations for Open Kent to better support entrepreneurs.

Fill in the survey from Kent Business School

This initial questionnaire should take no more than 2 minutes. Please click on the link here to start the survey. The deadline for responses is 10th August. Any queries, let us know.
