Mayur Ahuja, deputy director of engineering at Jacobs Engineering Group, will speak on behalf of NASA at an upcoming two-day forum to discuss the agency’s future projects, trade show organizer UBM Canon said Tuesday.
“The goal is to lower the cost of operating in space and of sustaining that operation, as well as to increase the performance of space hardware,” Ahuja said.
According to the release, it currently costs $50,000 to launch a gallon of water into space.
He is scheduled to present Oct. 15 at the Texas Advanced Manufacturing Expo and Conference to be held at the Reliant Center in Houston.
The event will showcase product and service offerings from more than 350 area manufacturers.
