National Mall Goes Energy Efficient

National Mall
It’s Friday, and we’re catching up on some things we’ve missed over the past few weeks. One of them was the installation of LED lighting on the National Mall. The new bulbs are expected to reduce lighting energy use by 65%.

Adding the new bulbs to the Mall was a team effort, and at the lighting ceremony, Sec. Chu and Sec. Salazar thanked Pepco, OSRAM SYLVANIA, and Siemens for donating their skills and materials to make the project a reality.
