Nearly forty State Department employees took part in a Fun Run that was held today to help bring awareness to this year’s Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA). On a seasonably cool day, participants had the option of either jogging the course or walking it. Joggers started from near the Kennedy Center, travelled across the Roosevelt Bridge and then over to Roosevelt Island before returning. Walkers took a route around the Kennedy Center and then met-up with their co-workers back at the finish line.
Representatives from CFCNCA-supported charities were on hand to talk about their organizations and all involved had chances to win prizes that were donated from local merchants.
