Bryan Sivak Issues Call for Health IT Innovators

The Department of Health and Human Services has partnered with health information technology not-for-profit organization Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society to search for a candidate to help develop future advances in healthcare IT.

HHS and HIMSS are looking for an Innovator In Residence that will work to create framework for patient data matching as well as security and and policy, HHS Chief Technology Officer Bryan Sivak wrote in a Dec. 12 blogpost for Healthcare.gov.

The IIR will work for two years with Washington-based entrepreneurs, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and the HHS Chief Technology Office.

The position requires a candidate with experience in identity matching records; knowledge of health IT, privacy, policy and security issues; and a technology-related educational background such as engineering, health management and computer science.
