ABOUT THE TAI COR DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM. Federal employees working in remote areas of our nation require COR training credits, and some employees can’t always find courses easily available to them. Many employees just don’t like sitting in a classroom for days on end. Now, employees can easily obtain the required CLP credits through our flexible distance classes which meet all the FAI requirements as stated in the FAI Blueprint. The OFPP Letter of 6 September 2011 permits all agency employees to obtain FAC-COR training from any commercial provider and you don’t actually have to sit in a classroom. TAI training is also much more affordable. We make it easy for employees with our program of one-on-one instructor distance learning to not only take COR training. Even Program Management personnel can take our “elective” courses for credit. Our courses are stress free, flexible and making it easy for individuals to complete their course at their own pace within a 30 calendar day period.

The question often comes up, “What if I go on vacation half-way through my course, get sick, or have to go fight a fire, and can’t work on my course?” Not a problem! Simply notify us by email and we put their course on pause. Every course has an exam which must be passed with a score of 70 points minimum. The exam is open book-open and open note from the very first day of you begin the course. The point is learning-not being stressed out. The prices of our distance learning courses are significantly less than onsite training making it affordable for everyone. At $595 per person for our 40 CLP credit courses versus classroom training wiith other vendors that usually start at $1895, you can’t beat our price even on GSA schedule. Our new COR Level III Basic Course costs $895, whilel other vendors will charge $2500 and up per student for the same 60 hour class. Realize that per Office of Federal Procurement Policy, it states that COR training can be accomplished online or via other training methods such as correspondence and distance learning (online). “Why would you want to pay three to four times what our courses cost for the same class?” it just doesn’t make sense for you or for taxpayers.

WE FACILITATE REMOTE TRAINING. Because COR training is not readily available in many areas of the country, TAI will work with you or your agency to provide Distance Learning both for individuals as well as groups of employees (all at the same time). We have handled as many as two groups of 12 students from the USDA (total of 24 employees) at the same time by Distance Learning as a Group taking the same class, while we also handling individual sign ups. We can accommodate up to 100 students a month. Currently we offer both the COR level I and II Basic and Refresher COR courses in 10, 20 and 40 CLP increments along with our NEW COR Level III Basic class. For individual students we accept either Purchase Card, or Personal Credit card for payment online at our shopping cart, and for Group Training, we accept Purchase Orders, and SF-182 Group Orders. Our DL courses and pricing are listed below and under our “Distance Courses” tab.

COURSE MATERIALS SENT TO STUDENTS BY DROP-BOX OR EMAIL:
Once you order a course online and make payment by purchase/credit card, students will receive our course materials either by email directly, or by email with a Link to WWW.DROPBOX.COM enabling them to download and save the course materials to their PCs or tablets. When using DROPBOX make sure you disable or unblock any features preventing the download via drop box (very easy to do). Instructions are provided in the initial student email.

HERE IS HOW OUR DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM WORKS:

Once we receive your payment by Purchase Card via our Shopping Cart, we email all the course materials to study via DROPBOX.com, beginning either the next day, or on a Monday if they payment is received on a Friday. Students have a full 30 calendar days (for all courses except the Level III) to complete the course and exam, including any “pause” period of time. The course clock begins ticking when you receive your course materials (unless you tells us to wait because your sick or on vacation). This does not mean that students cannot complete their course faster than this many have, but for our 5 day-40 CLP classes, the fastest it has been completed is 5 full days, which is why we provide 30 days to complete our course on a part-time basis. As a student, you must read the slides, slide notes, reference guides and complete the simple multiple choice exam with a passing score of 70 to receive our online Certificate for CLP credit. Plus, we also provide “optional” credit exercises that if the student successfully completes them receives extra credit towards their final exam score to ensure they pass. The no stress or hassle environment enables students to take the exam beginning on day one over the course of 30 days open book, open note, and students can also phone or emails our instructor for answers to questions they will have during the reading of materials. All exams are open book, open note and there is little time pressure on students to fail which is what typically happens in an adult classroom setting. Students get to locate the right answer because they must all of the material. Exams are not a memory exercise, and as memorization is for the birds, we want our students to learn something useful they can take back with them. The exam can be taken at home, or in the student’s office or on the road.

YOUR EXAMYou get the course exam on the very first day you get your materials. Your work through the course, and through your exam, and when ready, you send us your exam. We grade your exam and as along as you receive a passing score of 70 or better, you will be sent your certificate by email or download it from our website. This method of training has proven to be cost effective, and enables federal employees and those from industry to receive the credits they need, and lets them avoid travel expenses.
