GSA Calls for Car Sharing Services Ideas

The General Services Administration is seeking information from industry on how to implement car sharing as an alternative transportation service.

GSA issued a request for information Tuesday that asks interested vendors to answer a market research questionnaire on the idea with a due date of Nov. 15.

Vendors are also invited to an industry day event on Nov. 18 at GSA’s central office in Washington, where the Travel, Motor Vehicle and Card Services Office intends to explore several car sharing initiatives.

TMVCS aims for those initiatives to help reduce costs and schedule resources for mission-related services.

TMVCS plans to issue a pilot blanket purchase agreement for vendors in the cities of New York, Washington, Boston and Chicago.
