Vienna, VA (Feb. 14, 2011) — C² Technologies, Inc. (http://www.c2ti.com/) today announced that it has been awarded a project with the National Science Foundation (NSF) to evaluate NSF’s Web 2.0 presence and use of social media for employee recruitment and to make recommendations for improvement.

C²’s evaluation of the NSF Web 2.0 and social media recruiting effort will include a review of the NSF Career Opportunities section on its website (http://www.nsf.gov/), the NSF eRecruit application system, other online job boards, and NSF search engine presence. The evaluation will also cover existing NSF social media sites, which include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and GovLoop.

Following the evaluation, recommendations will be developed on how to improve NSF’s online and social media recruiting strategies. Recommendations will cover search engine optimization, social presence, job board usage, and recommended metrics for ongoing evaluation of strategies. Unique Web 2.0 strategies applicable for professionals of all levels (senior, mid-level, entry, etc.) will be discussed, and diversity and inclusion will be a primary focus.

“Recruiting today is extremely competitive. For an organization to succeed, it must have dynamic Web 2.0 recruitment strategies that align with an agency’s goals and mission,” said Dolly Oberoi, C²’s Chief Executive Officer.

The NSF is an independent Federal agency that supports fundamental research and education across all fields of science and engineering. Its funds reach all 50 states through grants to nearly 2,000 universities and institutions. Each year, NSF receives over 45,000 competitive requests for funding, and makes over 11,500 new funding awards.

C² was awarded the NSF project through the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Training and Management Assistance (TMA) contract, on which the company has been a vendor for 15 years.
