Organizing your LinkedIn Connections with Tags

Figuring out how to manage your LinkedIn connections can be a challenge. To help, LinkedIn has developed ‘Tags’. Tags are simple keywords that you create to organize your connections for quick filtering. It’s the same concept as circles on Google+.

How tags are helpful:

When you view a contact, tags appear in the right-hand column. If you don’t recognize the name, the tag may jog your memory

Use tags to filter your connections so you can quickly review only contacts within a certain group, such as Recruiters or Co-workers.

You can send a message to a group of individuals – for example sales prospects – without trying to go through your contacts individually.
