Tech@State

I am new to govloop and excited about the possibilities for cross-pollination here. One initiative that I want to alert other gov technologists to is Tech@State.

This effort is sponsored by the Department of State’s Office of eDiplomacy. eDiplomacy exists to help wed technology innovations with U.S. diplomatic efforts. One of the ways we are helping fuel this synthesis is through quaterly meetings, called Tech@State

Tech@State brings together technology enthusiasts, entreprenuers, innovators, and goverment folks to discuss latest practices and problems in the global sphere that may be answerable through technology innovations. We held our first meeting in May on the initiatives in Haiti to respond to the disasterous earthquake. Our second event was held in August on Mobile Money.

To engage in deeper conversation with those engaged in the Tech@State initiative we invite you to join our Ning site. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] and we will happily send you an invite.

Also, follow our updates on Twitter @techATstate!

More to come…
