Vote to help fund new online social infrastructure for neighborhoods!

Dear Govies,

Imagine if your neighborhood and every neighborhood in America had a network like this that connected the people who live work and serve (Like Program Coordinators and Police Officers) in the neighborhood and made it possible to communicate and collaborate to improve quality of life and solve problems.

What if you could make that happen right now with a couple clicks of your mouse? You can by voting for us!

My name is Joseph Porcelli, and I’m the founder and Chief Executive Neighbor at NeighborsForNeighbors.org. This month we are in the running to win $250,000 from Pepsi as part of the Pepsi Refresh Project. I am writing to ask you to vote for us!

Why vote for us?

We are out to transform how people who live work and serve in neighborhoods communicate and collaborate to improve quality of life and solve problems. Check out one of our network – http://jamaicaplain.neighborsforneighbors.org

We’re pioneering the new social infrastructure by operating neighborhood-centric community-generate social networks that serve as a soundboard for voice and a springboard for action. Unlike Facebook, our networks connect people who live, work and serve in their neighborhood with the purpose of brining people together offline to do things with and for each other.

Our goals is to give away our model and provide support to those who want to replicate it where they live, but we need funding to accomplish this goal.

Please vote for us! so we can transform neighborhoods around America!

Voting started Monday, and will continue through March. You can vote once a day for us and nine other ideas you like. Judging is simple; the two projects that get the most votes win funding. VOTE FOR US!
With much appreciation,
Joseph!
