A car exploded outside my apartment complex this morning.
I don’t live in a war-torn country; I live in one of the preppiest cities in America: Arlington, VA, home of Arlington Rap.
Fortunately, no one was hurt and only the car was destroyed. The trunk looks like, well, there is no more trunk. Anyways, the cops suggest it was not a car bomb. Rather, an acetylene torch was in the trunk. That looks like the cause. ARLnow.com carries the full story (and bomb squad photos).
Still, an exploding vehicle outside your residence makes you appreciate a few things like living and our soldiers serving overseas who deal with exploding vehicles on a regular basis.
